Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2026-08-14
Groundbreaker Marketing is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification or voice control.
The standard we aim for
We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the level referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act in practice, by Section 508, and by the European Accessibility Act.
What this site does
These are specific things implemented in this build, not aspirations. Several are checked automatically every time the site is rebuilt, so they cannot quietly regress.
- A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element on every page, verified by our build checks.
- A visible focus indicator on every interactive element, with a high-contrast variant on dark sections.
- Exactly one <h1> per page and a logical heading order below it, enforced by our build checks.
- Text contrast meeting WCAG 2.1 AA — 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text. Our lime brand colour is used only for button fills and on dark backgrounds, never for small text on white, because it does not meet the ratio there.
- Alternative text on every meaningful image; decorative images marked so screen readers skip them. Enforced by our build checks.
- A title on every embedded frame, so its purpose is announced. Enforced by our build checks.
- Menus and accordions built from native HTML elements, so they are keyboard-operable and work without JavaScript.
- Dropdown menus that open on keyboard focus as well as hover, and close on Escape.
- Colour never used as the only way information is conveyed — star ratings are also stated in text, and scorecard results are words rather than colours.
- Reduced-motion support: animation and smooth scrolling are disabled when your system asks for it.
- Form fields with programmatic labels and autocomplete hints.
- Content readable and functional at 200% zoom and on a 390px-wide screen without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
We want to be honest about the gaps rather than claim a clean sheet:
- Third-party embeds. Our contact form, booking calendars and onboarding questionnaire are provided by GoHighLevel and ClickUp, and our video is on YouTube. We do not control their markup, and we cannot guarantee those embedded areas meet AA. If you hit a barrier in one of them, call us and we will complete the same task with you over the phone.
- Older blog images. Some images migrated from our previous website carry alternative text derived from the article title rather than a description written for that specific image. We are improving these as we revisit each article.
